Our Mission
The mission of the Diabetes Scholars Foundation is to:
- Support activities related to education about diabetes in children
- Fund scholarships for activities related to diabetes education, including diabetes summer camps and diabetes education conferences, for both the child with diabetes and the child's family
- Work with schools and school districts to ensure that children with diabetes receive the support and care to which they are legally entitled (504 support and education)
- Work with organizations both in and outside of the United States to provide children with diabetes access to diabetes education
- Work with organizations both in and outside of the United States to strengthen ties between children with diabetes in the United States and children with diabetes in other countries
- Fund scholarships for higher education for children with type 1 diabetes in the United States
